AS THE TOWER FELL
To deal with the darkness within and to strive for peace and harmony is a reason to make music. It leads to sacrifices that are painful yet important. Through changes we grow but it hurts. When someone suddenly disappears, someone who had a major impact on your life, the change and the pain becomes crystal clear. Suddenly you find yourself trying to hold on to what held you back. But the tower will fall and you have to deal with a new perspective. What the sorrow wants is to be taken care of and you are alone in your grief. Thoughts about life occur when death stand at your doorstep and the thoughts become melodies and songs. This record is based on sorrow.

The album was recorded in Studio Dubious in Stockholm, Sweden, during 2018 and 2019.
Producer was Max-Måns Wikman, who also mixed and mastered the record.
Assistant sound engineer: Linnea Talp.

Dennis Egberth – drums, percussion
Elias Jungqvist – synthesizers
Mattias Gustavsson – bass and backing vocals
Rebecka Rolfart - bass, guitar and vocals

The Hanged Man is led by Rebecka Rolfart (Those Dancing Days, Vulkano). Since 2013 the band has played their nightmarely beautiful pop music - in a borderline of sorrow, strength, pain, power, mysticism and fantasy. The songs comes from the secret corners of the heart and have been immortalized in this world with shiny raiment.

In November 2014 the first mini album "First Quarter Moon" arrived, followed by the cassette "Lord Have Mercy" in January 2016, both via Kning Disk.

The debut album "Of Blood Is Full" was released in September 2017, this time via Dubious Records. It was recorded at an old winery in north of Italy, Palazzo Stabile, by Max-Måns Wikman.

The members of the band are all well known on the Swedish music scene, due to also being part of bands like Dungen, Saigon, side effects and Second Oracle.
